FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions our clients ask every day, answered directly from the files we handle.

General questions

Do you guarantee that the visa will be granted?

No. The decision belongs exclusively to the consulate or immigration authorities. Our role is to help you prepare an organized, complete application based on the requirements published by the competent authorities — be wary of anyone who guarantees a visa.

How long does file preparation take with you?

Between 3 and 10 working days depending on the visa type and how quickly you provide documents. Study and work files take longer due to translation and certification.

Can I follow my file online?

Yes. After submitting you receive a reference number, and you can create an account in the client area to track the status, upload documents, exchange messages and view invoices.

What happens if my application is refused?

We analyse the refusal letter point by point with you, analyse the reasons stated in the refusal decision and the possible contributing factors, then set out a re-application or appeal plan depending on the country and legal deadline.

Do you handle files outside Algeria?

Yes, we support clients remotely through WhatsApp, email and the client area, with video consultations available.

How much does the service cost?

It depends on the visa type and the complexity of the file. We send a clear, detailed quote before starting, with no hidden fees. Consular fees are paid directly to the consulate or visa centre.

Documents & file

Which documents are common to every visa?

A passport valid for more than six months, recent white-background photos, a signed form, a flight reservation, proof of accommodation, travel insurance and proof of funds. Documents specific to your professional situation and visa type are added on top.

Do documents need certified translation?

Most consulates require a certified translation into the country's language or English for Arabic documents. We coordinate translation and legalisation as part of file preparation.

How much money should be in my bank account?

There is no single figure. The practical rule is the daily subsistence amount required by the destination multiplied by the number of days, plus a margin and six months of regular account activity.

Appointments & timelines

When should I start the visa process?

We recommend starting 8 to 12 weeks before travel for Schengen visas, and 3 to 6 months ahead for study and work visas because of translation, legalisation and appointment availability.

Do you book the consular appointment for me?

We assist you with the appointment-booking process, subject to availability and the conditions of the relevant official platform (CAPAGO for France, VFS Global, BLS, TLScontact depending on the destination). RMDS Visa does not control appointment availability.

Fees & payment

Are consular fees included in your service fee?

No. Consular and centre fees are paid directly to the relevant body on the appointment day; the RMDS Visa service fee is separate and stated clearly in the quote sent to you beforehand.

Is the service fee refunded if the visa is refused?

File preparation fees cover work already delivered and are not refunded after submission, but the refund policy details the cases giving right to a partial or full refund before work starts.
